Coroner identifies teen found dead in Louisville park

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified a teenager who was found shot dead in a Louisville park. Wilson Mugisha, 18, died Wednesday of a gunshot wound at EP Tom Sawyer State Park on Freys Hill Road. He was identified Friday in an update from the coroner’s office. The coroner said Mugisha’s death is being investigated as a homicide. The Louisville Metro Police Department has not provided additional updates since Wednesday, when it confirmed the teen’s death. The homicide unit said no arrests have been made. Police said the homicide unit was investigating and there were no suspects in custody.

According to the LMPD, Mugisha was found dead around 7 a.m. on Wednesday. The homicide unit said no arrests have been made.

Police said the homicide unit was investigating and there were no suspects in custody.
