With in-person recruiting about to resume, it’s no wonder this week has been busy with discussions about high school basketball.

On Thursday afternoon it was reported by Eric Bossi from 247 sports This class of five-star power forward of 2023, Omaha Biliew, is trying to arrange a trip to Lexington for an unofficial visit to the Kentucky campus in June.

Biliew is viewed by both 247 sports and Rivals as one of the six best players in his class and the second best power forward. He does not currently hold a Kentucky Stock Exchange offer, but contact is clearly between the two parties. the Register of Monks similar news reported Wednesday that Biliew would try to visit Kentucky in June.

At the moment Biliew has two unofficial tours in place and that is to see Nebraska on June 6 and Iowa State on June 16. Here’s what he told Bossi about the ‘Cats:

Kentucky: “I spoke to them here and there. It’s been gaining momentum lately because the review period is approaching and they’re starting to watch me and see how I’m doing. I will try to visit them in June. “- 247 sports.

A 6-foot-8, 200-pound sophomore from Waukee High School in Iowa, Biliew recently led his team to a state championship victory in March. He has already received offers like Kansas, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska and even Western Kentucky. Biliew told Bossi that Kentucky and Nebraska are the two recruiting him the hardest right now with Ohio State in the mix.

Kentucky’s latest additions to the coaching staff, Orlando Antigua and Ron “Chin” Coleman, both recruited Biliew when they were coaches at Illinois and appear to pick up where they left off.

On the court, Biliew is designed to play college basketball right now. His body and physique are what stand out first, but once you watch him play you realize that he’s much more than a big body. Biliew knows how to use his size to his advantage and can finish close to the rim with relative ease. He has an improving face-up game that extends to the perimeter and he also has impressive instincts on the defensive end. The NBA is likely in its future.
