Midway, Kentucky – George Kennedy “Ken” Willmott, 62, died early Saturday, November 20, 2021 from a brief illness. Ken was born in Lexington, Ky. To the late George F. Willmott, Jr. and Carol Jean (Clendenen) Willmott. Ken was a farmer in Fayette and Woodford counties most of his life. He was a “gentle giant” and will be missed by all who knew him. Ken’s sister and brother-in-law, Lancye and Joe Douglas of Penfield, New York, survive Ken. In addition to his parents; his grandparents, an aunt and several uncles predeceased him. “Mr. Kenny” is also survived by special friends Bob and Marian, Jade and Ricardo and Karl. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Bradford Square in Frankfort for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided to Ken in 2021. Thanks also to Bluegrass Hospice Care of Frankfort for their support. Ken’s Memorial Tours will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Milward – Broadway located at 159 N. Broadway with a celebration of his life at 10:00 am. Private interment in Lexington Cemetery.
