Here’s how you can help tornado victims – 89.3 WFPL News Louisville

Communities are scrambling to assess the damage after one of the worst tornadoes in state history swept through western Kentucky on December 11.

The state announced the deaths of 77 Kentuckians. Tthousands of Kentuckians remain without electricity and many are homeless.

End December, communities were “overflowing” with donations and supplies, according to local emergency management officials. They are asking people to delay physical donations and consider donating money instead.

According to the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office, the goods and services affected by this ban include: consumer food products; goods or services used for emergency cleaning; emergency supplies; medical material; heating oil; construction materials; lodging; transport, freight and storage services; and gasoline or other fuels.
