Louisville baseball and Texas A&M are battling for a trip to the College World Series in a best-of-three NCAA Super Regional Tournament this weekend at Blue Bell Park in College Station, Texas.
The Aggies were successful in the bottom of the ninth thanks to Troy Claunch’s two-release, base-laden singlebeating the Cardinals 5-4 in the early hours of Saturday morning.
12 Louisville fell to 42-20-1 with the loss, pushing the Cardinals to the brink of elimination.
The No. 5 Texas A&M improved to 41-18 with the win and only needs one more win to clinch his ticket to Omaha.
Game 2 is scheduled for a first pitch Saturday at 3 p.m. and will air on ESPN2.
