Jack Harlow submitted an accompanying music video for his EST Gee-assisted track, “Route 66”.
The visual was shot at Harlow’s home in Louisville, Kentucky and sees him driving around town with friends. As he spends time at home with familiar faces, his name drops fellow Louiseville native and current Atlanta Hawks player Rajon Rondo and celebrates his recent success.
“Route 66” is an excerpt from Harlow’s debut studio album This is what they all say, which he released in December 2020. The project debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 – marking its first entry in the top 10 – and features guest appearances like Lil Baby, Big Sean, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Static Major, Bryson Tiller, DaBaby, Lil Wayne and more. “So this album, I tried to take all my bases, and I tried not to have identical songs to each other. I didn’t want anything at all. So I really showed a lot of range here, ”he said in a previous interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “I have worked with many producers. There are a lot of flavors, but more than anything I believe this album is timeless. And I think he will time stamp this moment. And people are going to remember this album and live with it for years to come. So I’m excited about it.
Harlow’s hit “What’s Poppin” is currently in the running for Best Rap Performance at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards, which will take place on March 14th.
Elsewhere in the music, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah are ready to fight VERZUZ.
