It’s been a week since Kentucky offered five-star winger Justin Edwards a scholarship, but there hasn’t been a Crystal Ball bump for the Wildcats yet.
Edwards – a 6ft 7in wing from Philadelphia – accepted the offer during an official visit to the UK last weekend, the first such trip of his recruiting. Prior to the visit, the buzz in recruiting circles was that Kentucky would be the team to beat if they came up with an offer, but there have been no Crystal Ball or Rivals.com FutureCast picks recorded since that time. trip, somewhat surprising given the chatter behind the scenes. Often in such circumstances, a flurry of Crystal Ball activity will follow as soon as the perceived favorite in a recruit makes an offer.
UConn has also done a tremendous job in recruiting Edwards, and that will be one to watch over the next few weeks to see if there is any movement on the prediction pages. Edwards is the 11th overall player in 247Sports for the 2023 class, and he’s seen as a high IQ, high-level prospect who should have an immediate impact on the college. He recently called Kentucky his “dream school” growing up.
