As the New Year approaches, here’s a look at Reed Sheppard’s commitment to Kentucky basketball so far this season.
Sheppard, a junior goaltender from North Laurel High School who signed to the Cats in November, is averaging 26.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game for the Jaguars, who are 10-3. on the season so far. He shoots 56.0% from the field and has made 30 of 74 three-pointers (40.5%). He also shoots 90.2% on free throws.
Wildcat’s future junior campaign included MVP’s victory at the King of the Bluegrass tournament in Louisville last month. Next up for North Laurel will be a home game against Clay County on Friday, and the Jaguars’ schedule includes at least two more games in central Kentucky – in Scott County on January 22 and a clash with Henry Clay in the Jock Sutherland Classic. in Lafayette on February 5.
