UPDATE: Fayette schools athletics, activities canceled except swimming competition

All extracurricular and evening activities are canceled

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Due to weather conditions, all Fayette County Public Schools athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Saturday, Feb. 5, with the exception of the area’s 11th annual swim meet.

This event is not governed by FCPS and is expected to continue with or without our participation. All swimmers can participate as scheduled.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – All public schools and Fayette County offices will be closed on Friday, February 4, 2022.

All extracurricular and evening activities are cancelled. It’s a snow day, not NTI.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Due to the approaching winter storm, Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022 and will operate on an NTI weather day, according to the school district.

All extracurricular and school evening activities are canceled on Thursday.

Students must use their Chromebook to participate in the activities described by their teacher. They will have up to three days when they return to school to complete the assignments.
