LUCKNOW: The government of Uttar Pradesh plans to organize a loan disbursement camp for industrial units as part of its initiatives to revive economic activities slowed down during the Covid pandemic.
Additional Chief Secretary, Information and MSME Navneet said the camp would be particularly useful for entrepreneurs who want to set up small industrial units and create jobs.
“The state government aspires to intensify economic activities. Almost all of the state’s industrial units are in working order with the help of workers. Industrial units facing problems receive loans with the help of banks under ‘Atmanirbhar PackageShegal told reporters. He added that around 4.37,000 units have been loaned to the tune of Rs 10,850 crore.
He said the state government was also trying to provide more job opportunities. In the current fiscal year, around 6.30 lakh of new mic, small and medium enterprises The (MSME) units received loans worth Rs 18,348 crore.
Sehgal said the state government is prioritizing the purchase of paddy during the current season. He said that this year 120 lakh quintals of paddy had been purchased, three times the amount purchased last year. The government also bought 95,000 quintals of maize from farmers, which is more than what was bought last year, Sehgal added.
He said the government was trying to provide adequate and timely compensation to farmers. “CM Yogi has asked all district magistrates to consider purchasing paddy at the district level,” he said.
